Students marked heading off to pastures new in style with an end-of-year celebration.

Year 8 leavers at Marden Bridge Middle School held a Bounce BBQ Party as they marked their last day at the school before going to high school.

The school hired inflatables including the traditional castle, inflatable catapult alley and superhero sumo suits. The school also provided an indoor football cage for specialist two-a-side football.

Headteacher John Newport said “The school council came up with this idea themselves, they wanted something different from a prom and disco.

“They loved ever minute and it was a pleasure to see the pupils enjoying themselves in a relaxed friendly environment.”

The school also put on their biggest summer performance to date – Joseph with more than 70 of the schools pupils taking part in it.

Pupils worked tirelessly for three months leading up to the event and put on a phenomenal display.
