Youngsters at a North Shields school have been busy raising money for a borough charity.
The Year 9 pupils at St. Thomas More Academy organised a talent show and a cake stall to raise funds for umbrella charity Angels of the North.
The show was organised by pupil Andrew McCurry, as part of his Duke of Edinburgh Award programme.
Honorary chief executive officerBarbara Connors-Fowler said: “I am always delighted to witness so much kindness and thoughtfulness shown by youngsters for the less fortunate amongst us.
The events raised £163.85 which the charity will use to fund physiotherapy costs for cerebral palsy sufferer eight-year-old Callum Brown, who has returned from having an operation in America.
