A series of fundraising events are being held to help students visit two diverse countries.
Pupils at Kings Priory School, in Tynemouth, are holding a car boot sale to raise money for expeditions to Botswana and Nicaragua in July.
The teenagers are travelling to the countries to work on community project and experience the diverse cultures of the two countries first hand.
The expeditions are self-funded and the pupils are working hard to raise this money through fundraising events.
The car boot sale and coffee morning will take place on Saturday, April 26, from 10am to 1pm. There will also be a selection of old school desks available for purchase at a cost of £10 per desk.
