Residents’ views count the most

IT was gratifying to see my letter about the proposed scheme by Persimmon Homes to build 1,000 new houses at the north end of Station Road North provoking replies.

I shan’t waste time bickering about the flaws in the responses, but, suffice to say, they both missed the point that, ultimately, it isn’t my view on the scheme – or theirs, for that matter – that counts, it’s the views of the existing residents that should count the most.

It remains to be seen whether theirs is the voice that is listened to.
