Police have been rising to the challenge to help a borough charity.
Officers from the Middle Engine Lane police station in Wallsend held a bake sale for their colleagues to help raise money for the North Tyneside Disability Forum.
And a selection of young people from the forum were invited in to the station to help draw the charity raffle.
Chief Superintendent Steve Neill put the icing on the cake by handing out selection boxes to the young people.
Ch Supt Neill said: “We work with the North East Disability Forum and it’s a cause I’m proud to support. We want to show our gratitude for their continued support to us.
“It’s not only important we help raise money for the cause, but also help raise awareness of what support is available to people with disabilities and their families and carers.
“We do a lot of work in the community to support people living with disabilities and ensure they have the support they need from the police.”
