A PR consultant has become the first in the region to become a Chartered Public Relations Practitioner.
Sarah Hall, owner of PR and marketing consultancy Sarah Hall Consulting Ltd, has been awarded Chartered status by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) after an assessment day testing professional excellence and integrity.
The status recognizes the highest standard of knowledge, expertise and ethical practice within the PR industry.
Sarah said: “Achieving Chartered Status is a big step and demonstrates that here at Sarah Hall Consulting we are committed to demonstrating PR’s role in achieving organizational success.”
Candidates on the CIPR’s assessment day were rigorously assessed on their skills, knowledge and competencies in ethics, strategy and leadership by a team of assessors.
Lead examiner Paul Noble said: “Candidates must show a broad knowledge of the context in which the public relations function operates and an ability to relate public relations activities to the wider organizational considerations of clients or employers.”
Sarah, who is known as @Hallmeister on Twitter, was recently named as one of the North East’s Most Influential on Social Media for the third year in a row and has just launched an industry-wide wide book and project called #FuturePRoof aimed at asserting PR’s role as a management discipline.
