Scary tales at the Priory to make a return

A popular spooky event is returning to the borough this Hallowe’en.

The sell-out Scary Tales at Tynemouth Priory returns with new stories, frights and surprises.

North Tyneside Council and Little Cat Theatre Company have presented the eerie theatrical experience for a number of years.

And now, with new spooky stories and characters, the event is expected to once again draw chill-seekers from around the region.

Those attending can expect an hour of ghostly tales from their guide, who will lead them in the darkness to the farthest reaches of the historic site

Coun Eddie Darke, cabinet member for leisure, culture and tourism, said: “Back by popular demand, the event is always a family favourite and with the new stories and characters, it’s sure to be another fantastic Hallowe’en at Tynemouth Priory and Castle.”

The daily tours will take place between Saturday, October 25, and Saturday, November 1 (excluding Monday and Tuesday), at 6pm, 7.30pm and 9pm.

The event is suitable for children aged eight and over.

Tickets are priced at £10 per person and can be booked by calling (0191) 643 7409.

Places are limited to 25 people per tour so people are encouraged to book quickly to avoid disappointment.
