School fair will also mark Jubilee celebrations

A SCHOOL is opening its doors to the community for its annual summer fair.

Stephenson Memorial Primary School, in Martin Road, Wallsend, is holding the event on Thursday, May 31, from 2.30pm.

And officials at the school are also tying the celebrations in with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

There will be several stalls, a football shootout, field activities and a pony and trap.

Fairground games include tin can alley, coconut shy and stocks.

Typical carnival food will be served, including candyfloss, donuts, hotdogs and ice-cream.

Older members of the community will be served cream teas and an escorted visit by the school if needed.
