A special exhibition is being held as part of a Scout group’s anniversary celebrations.

To mark the 6th Tynemouth (Holy Saviours) Scout Group’s 80th Birthday an exhibition is being held on Saturday, November 28, and Sunday 29.

Photographs and memorabilia from the 80 years history in its Manor Road headquarters in Tynemouth will be shown.

Group Scout leader David Littlefield said: “Our group has a long history and former members have been sending me fascinating photographs.

“Anyone from the local area who would like to see what we have been doing over the past 80 years is very welcome to come and have a look.

“We would especially like to hear from any of our former Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts or Scouts who might like to join us for a reunion party on the Saturday evening.”

On the Sunday there will be a Church Parade at 10am which anyone is welcome to join.

Any old photos and memorabilia can be sent to David on davidjlittlefield@yahoo.co.uk

All of the Scout Sections in Tynemouth District are open to boys and girls aged between 6 and 25; the adult section is open from 25 to 60 plus.

Anyone interested in joining should call the Northumberland Scout’s County Office on (0191) 266 8822, visit www.tynemouthscouts.org.uk or www.scouts.org.uk or email media@tynemouthscouts.org.uk
