A NEW junior section of a sea cadets is being launched in March.
Whitley Bay Sea Cadets is starting the new group for ten to 12-year-olds at their base at Sea Cadet Hall, off Bromley Avenue, Monkseaton.

An information evening for parents and potential cadets will be held at the Hall on Wednesday, February 29, from 6pm to 7.15pm.
Colin Stewart, chair of the unit management team, is delighted that the junior section will be starting.
“Getting involved at such an early age is not only a great opportunity for the children but also for the unit as they will be the next generation of sea cadets and help keep the unit a healthy and vibrant community,” he said.
