A competition has been launched to find the best customer service in North Tyneside.
‘Top of the Shops’ recognises those shops or services in town centres that pride themselves on putting customers first.
An award is up for grabs in North Shields, Wallsend and Whitley Bay.
Businesses must be independently-run, based in a borough town centre, and be a shop or service establishment.
To enter, retailers need to complete an entry form explaining how they offer first-class customer service, with residents being encouraged to visit their favourite business to register their vote and support the retailer’s application.
Business have until Friday, October 25, to apply and collect resident votes, with the winners being announced at the North Tyneside Business Awards on Tuesday, December 3.
Coun Frank Lott, cabinet member for economic development, said: “We have some great independent shops and service businesses in the town centres and this is an opportunity to celebrate them.”
