It is not often that we read about good customer service delivered by businesses, (whether they be private or otherwise), but I wish to take this opportunity to record publicly my thanks and appreciation for the excellent customer service that I recently received from the staff of my local Post Office on Preston Grange.
I had the need to post a large, heavy and cumbersome parcel to our son in Australia.
Although I had checked the Post Office’s website of the varying postal services offered, all depicting various ‘levels/categories’ depending on weight, size, timelines etc, I still needed further clarification.
There were so many points to consider and definitely not a simple matter.
On calling in at the Post Office, one of their helpful and efficient staff, Nic, was most attentive and keen to put my concerns at rest.
She immediately checked out and confirmed every minuscule detail, and by no means rushed matters, ensuring that I considered all the options open to me.
When I did return with my parcel ready for posting, again Nic throughly checked everything was in order, and more importantly my parcel fitted the criteria for the postal delivery service I required.
This may appear to be such a simple task on the surface, but it needed the ‘personal touch’ to help and advise on this particular occasion.
It is really heartening to experience this excellent quality service especially so, in this busy automated IT world we live in.
Thank you to all again, and I am pleased to conclude that my parcel was safely and securely delivered on time.
