A service helping residents access advice and support is being relaunched.
SIGN North Tyneside is holding an event to raise the profile of the signposting service and the help it can provide to residents in the borough.
An open day is being held at North Shields Customer First Centre on Monday, October 20, from 9.30am to 1.30pm.
A number of organisations will be attending to highlight their work, including North Tyneside CAB, Age UK North Tyneside, Community & Healthcare Forum, Disability North, Independent Advocacy North Tyneside, North Tyneside Adult Social Care Gateway Team and more.
SIGN North Tyneside is a North Tyneside Council initiative bringing together a network of providers of free, independent and confidential information, and working to put people in need of practical or emotional help and guidance in touch with those local organisations best able to provide it.
SIGN is the link to the health and social care services in the area, as well as the services provided by the council and others.
The service is free and confidential.
SIGN members provide one-to-one support.
