Three campuses of a college have picked up a coveted award.
Management and staff at TyneMet College, Queen Alexandra Sixth Form College and TMC are celebrating after landing Investors in People Silver Standard award.
Assessors noted improvements in standards of teaching, the financial position, and student satisfaction.
The report identified that the organisation has a clear vision, purpose, strategy and a plan for the future.
Jon Vincent, college principal and chief executive, said: “I am extremely proud. This report clearly identifies the positive move forward that we have made and how we have developed our organisation through investing in our people.
“I am delighted to see our shared values are understood and embedded into staff ideology, these values are key in the organisation’s commitment to our staff, students, partners.”
He added: “The report identifies significant improvements that the organisation has made in such little time – this growth is due to the fact that every member of staff is passionate about their work which is fundamental in making TyneMet College, Queen Alexandra Sixth Form College and TMC amazing learning environments which will give our students the high standard and excellent quality of teaching that they deserve.
“I am committed not only to maintaining the silver standard, but to exceeding it in the future!”
