A large and varied entry was on show in the First Projected Image Competition of the new season at Whitley Bay Photographic Society.

The pictures were judged by Robin Sinton, of the nearby Tynemouth Society, who chose the winning five from each section.

The Club Section was won by Brian Tunnard, with an entry titled School’s Out, showing an enormous area of parked school buses, and a well placed wing mirror.

Two highly commended places in the Advanced Section were awarded to Alan Porrett and Ron Clements while a puffin secured first place for Peter Craig.

Whitley Bay Photographic Society meets in Waverley Avenue, near Monkseaton Station, each Tuesday at 7.30pm.

Anyone with an interest in photography will be very welcome.
