Staff spruce up women’s centre

A team of accountants have been figuring out how to make the most of a family haven.

Ten financial solutions staff from P&G’s Cobalt site in North Tyneside volunteered a day of their time to help spruce up the Newcastle Women’s Aid Centre.

They cleaned children’s play equipment, planted flowers, tidied the garden and painted benches.

Participant Emma Pyper said: “I wanted so much to go to this event and help out. The women who work with Women’s Aid do a fantastic job and help some of the most vulnerable people who really need strength and confidence to get back on their feet.”

Centre worker Elaine Longshaw said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to the team from P&G.”
