Two teenagers are holding their latest gigs for local bands.

Callum Casey and Sal Wilcox are hosting the third NOUVEAU GIGS at 42nd Street, Whitley Bay, on Thursday.

Indie rock-pop trio Blesh are headlining the night, with support from scuzz-pop group Cult Lust, Tynemouth band Nettles and an acoustic set from singer-songwriter Jacob Diaz-Wright.

Doors open at 7pm with entry £3.

The pair host the gigs for northern bands to perform and give teenagers an affordable night out.

Callum, 18, said: “We wanted the gigs to give as many local people as possible a chance to be involved.”

“We’ve had friends do the posters and artwork and tried to make the gigs a social gathering as well as a night of music. The gigs have had a really friendly atmosphere and we’re really looking forward to the next one.”
