TENANTS from across the borough are being invited to have their say at a series of area housing forums.
North Tyneside Council is organising the meetings, with the Wallsend forum taking place first on Monday, January 24, from 6pm at Howdon Community Centre in Denbigh Avenue.
The forums are a chance for tenants to have their say on the local housing service, as well as identifying areas for improvement and suggesting future actions.
The other forums, all starting at 6pm, are:
n North West – Wednesday, January 26, at The White Swan Centre, Killingworth;
n Whitley Bay – Thursday, January 27, at The Shiremoor Centre, Earsdon Road;
n North Shields – Wednesday, February 2, at The Saville Exchange, Howard Street.
Coun John Goodfellow, cabinet member for housing, said: “The Area Housing Forums are a fantastic way to enable tenants, leaseholders, councillors and housing officers to work together.
“North Tyneside has some of the highest levels of tenant satisfaction in the country.
“But by using the forums to increase residents’ involvement in the service we provide, we hope to make even further improvements.”
