Every time you read a newspaper there are bad press reports concerning care homes.
Our father, John Muirhead, recently passed away after being a resident of Cleveland Park, North Shields, for the past six years.
My father had been suffering from Alzheimer’s, and from the day he arrived at the home the staff have been brilliant.
From the personal care he received to the food and endless cups of tea he drank. They were brilliant.
Staff are on low wages, work long hours and do awful jobs.
We would like to thank each and everyone of them for everything they did for dad and the help given to us.
This proves that this perception that all care homes are bad is not true.
We would also like to say thank you for all the donations to the Alzheimer’s Society.
