Thousands of people took part in services around the borough to remember those who lost their lives fighting for their country.
Remembrance Services took place on Sunday and Tuesday as schools, businesses, and residents all stopped for two minutes of silence.
Serving and former service personnel were joined by cadets, local dignitaries and more at the services which saw poppy wreaths laid and the Last Post played.
There were services at the war memorials in Wallsend, North Shields, Longbenton and Whitley Bay on Sunday.
On Tuesday, a service was held at the Post-1945 Jigsaw Memorial in Killingworth while local schools also held Remembrance Services.
