Traditions were carried on at the official changing of office for a North Tyneside organisation.

The new Rotary Club of Tynemouth president, Archie McGlynn, presented the traditional bouquet of flowers to the incoming president of the Inner Wheel Club of Tynemouth, Virginia Hopwood.

The presentation took place at the Inner Wheel club’s first meeting of their new year, which was held in Whitley Bay Golf Club.

Ms Hopwood said:” I was delighted to receive such a lovely present from our Rotarians and I hope that both of our clubs have a very successful year.”
