POLICE have named the woman who died after falling from her bike in Wallsend on Wednesday.

Natasha Chhina-Beverley had been riding on a pavement on the A193 Church Bank when she fell from her bike close to the junction with Ropery Lane.

The 21-year-old, from Howdon, was being passed by a bus when the accident happened.

Police are carrying out enquiries to establish exactly what happened and are still appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Specifically, they would like to speak to any passengers on the Go North East No. 1 coast bus travelling between Wallsend High Street and Rosehill Social Club.

While some witnesses from the bus have been spoken to, there are others police are yet to identify.
