THREE cars parked in a Whitley Bay street had their tyres slashed in as many days.
The cars, parked in Cambridge Avenue, were targeted between Wednesday, February 29, and Friday, March 2.
One had a rear tyre slashed, another had three tyres cut and the third had all four of its tyres slashed.
PC Graeme Eley, the officer investigating these crimes said: “These incidents cause motorists both inconvenience and expense to get their vehicles road worthy.
“We’re asking for help from the community to find those people responsible for these senseless acts.”
Police are appealing for witnesses anyone who was in the area and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious is asked to contact police.
