Have your say

Residents are being invited to have their say on gambling policies and licences in the borough.

North Tyneside Council is consulting on its 2016 to 2019 Gambling Licensing Policy, setting out how the authority will deal with permits for a wide range of activities, from prize machines to club gambling.

I’m pleased that we are starting this consultation, it is important to have the views from everyone on this matter

Mayor Norma Redfearn

Residents, businesses, councillors, partners, MPs and MEPs can provide feedback and comments on the draft policy for 12 weeks, until 5pm on August 10.

The council is responsible for issuing Licences and Permits to all premises offering gambling to the public. These include bingo, betting, adult gaming and family entertainment places.

Mayor Norma Redfearn said: “I’m pleased that we are starting this consultation, it is important to have the views from everyone on this matter.”

The draft policy can be viewed at www.northtyneside.gov.uk. Hard copies are also available in the borough’s Customer First Centres.

Feedback can be given via www.northtyneside.gov.uk, email liquor.licensing@northtyneside.gov.uk or by post Licensing, Block C, Harvey Combe, Killingworth, Newcastle, NE12 6UB.
