A project supporting victims and witnesses of crime is seeking more volunteers.
North Tyneside Council is expanding a network of volunteers to offer advice and guidance to those affected by anti-social behaviour (ASB).
The authority is looking to recruit people who have experienced ASB and want to help others deal with such issues.
They will compliment the work of the local authority’s safer estates team, by providing practical and friendly support over the telephone or in person.
Mayor Norma Redfearn said: “We are absolutely committed to protecting people from harm and supporting victims and witnesses – and this new group of people is another way to help.
“The volunteers will be able to truly understand what people affected by anti-social behaviour are going through.”
