Representatives of the Christian congregations that make up Wallsend Churches Working Together joined forces for an ecumenical service prepared by Margaret Storey, a Methodist lay leader.

The service was held at Trinity Methodist Church and included a sermon by Margaret, who has spent the greater part of the past seven years working in Nicaragua.

A collection taken at the service was donated to Margaret’s mission.

Music was provided by the town’s Salvation Army band.
