A total of 150 new homes have been earmarked for a village in North Tyneside.
Miller Homes is planning to build 300 homes across three new developments in the north east over the next year.
Work started earlier this month on 150 three, four and five bedroom homes at Heritage Green, off Hotspur North, in Backworth, to be built over the next five years.
A launch event will take place this Saturday and at The Village Hotel, Silverlink, from 10am to 5pm, where potential buyers will have the opportunity to view plans and prices of the first release of homes, plus reserve their new home for just £99.
Andrew Somerville, Miller Homes North East’s regional sales manager, said: “With high levels of interest anticipated I would urge those looking to find out more about this new development to attend the launch event and speak to our advisers about the range of homes available and ways we can help people move.”
“Location is key and this is always at the forefront of our thoughts when selecting land for our new developments.
“We are committed to building sustainable communities and felt that the location of Heritage Green adds a unique appeal to its beautiful setting and played an important role in helping us select its name.
Patrick Arkle, Miller Homes North East’s operations director, said: “Work has been going on behind the scenes for a number of months to bring these new developments to fruition and with our commitment to creating quality new homes that are built to the highest standards in desirable locations, we are confident they will provide much-needed homes within the North East.
“From a wider economic perspective, we will also be supporting jobs in the north east and over the next five years we expect to employ at least 15 apprentices across our north east developments.”
