A YOUNGSTER from North Shields has used her creative skills to win a Christmas-themed art competition.

Emily Smith won tickets to see Humpty Dumpty at the Playhouse Whitley Bay after impressing judges with her drawing of a Christmas tree.

The eight-year-old was presented with her prize, which was donated by Whitley Bay Pantomime Society, at Park View shopping centre, Whitley Bay.

The competition was organised by the Rotary Club of Whitley Bay and was part of the shopping centre’s festive activities.
