THREE youngsters have raised money for a cancer charity by selling off their old toys.

Georgina Thornton-Brown, known as Gee, was inspired to raise money for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation after reading the epilogue to the former England football manager’s book Newcastle: My Kind of Toon’.

The ten-year-old, along with her friend Elke Tebbutt and Elke’s brother Calum, held a table-top sale outside the Tebbutts’ house in Holywell Avenue, Whitley Bay.

The youngsters painted nails and sold soft drinks, sweets, toys, books and more.

They raised almost £13, a total then boosted by donations of £35.
