IT was that time of year again when the Whitley Bay Pantomime Society, after months of rehearsing, walked onto the stage at the Playhouse and gave a very professional, enjoyable and funny production of possibly the most beloved of pantos – Cinderella.
The scenery was stunning, costumes traditional and rich in colours, the dancing from across all age groups produced some delightful scenes, and the tots starting out on their pantomime dancing – what talent there is for the future.
It was a community experience with businesses in Whitley Bay supporting this production through advertising, props and the backing.
It is a big ‘thank you’ from the society for this.
The scene with Joey, now 17, the famous pony who lives up at Burradon and now in his second pantomime at the Playhouse, stole the show, pulling the beautiful glass coach.
Buttons, as always, kept the audience on his side and engaged them all in the traditional fun of the pantomime.
All in all a thoroughly enjoyable community production.
Well done Whitley Bay Pantomime Society.
