Grateful for assistance from a good samaritan

Have your say

I WOULD like to say ‘thank you’ to the early morning jogger who came to my aid on a Wednesday morning at about 6.40am.

I suffer from COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and as I was walking along the path between Whitley Bay High School and Valley Gardens School I suffered a severe attack, becoming very breathless.

A man jogging past noticed that I was in some distress, stopped to enquire how I was and asked where I was going.

He then told me to stay where I was, brought his car and gave me a lift to Monkseaton Metro station.

I did not get his name, I was barely able to find my breath to thank him. I do hope he reads this, he was a ‘good samaritan’ and I was extremely grateful to him for his help and consideration.
