I WISH to thank all those people who came to my aid when I fell on the pedestrian crossing in Front Street, Monkseaton on March 4.
Those who lifted me off the road to a seat; the lady from Robinson’s opticians who gave me her coat and scarf; the staff from the Black Horse who provided tissues; the schoolchildren who asked if I was alright and especially the two ladies who helped me throughout until the ambulance arrived.
It could have had a much more serious outcome had it not been for your prompt actions. I will always be grateful. I am fine now apart from the usual cuts and bruises.
Bless you all.
