NORTH Shields Billy Mill can thank man of the match Tony Woodhouse for his extra-time winner that ended Burradon FC's hopes of lifting the Bob Sturrock Memorial Cup after an exciting final at Croft Park, Blyth.
The Mill stormed into a three-goal lead with strikes from Chris Wall, Chris Doig and Ritchie Craven.

But the Burradon lads showed great character to fight back with three second half goals in a devastating 20 minutes spell scored by Lee Isbister (2) and Carl Haddock which sent the game into extra-time.

Then came the Woodhouse clincher.

However, both sides deserved maximum credit for entertaining a large crowd with end to end football which was superbly handled by local official Colin Athey.
