AS THE North Tyneside football youth tournament celebrates its 25th year, a small town in northern Germany have accepted an invitation to come to the tournament.
The team, called Visselhovede, will arrive on July 26 and be hosted by St Mary's Church Monkseaton who have kindly helped with accommodation.

The boys have raised their own funds through families raising money for flights and the boys are really looking forward to the tournament and seeing our beautiful culture here in the north east and improving their English.

They live three hours from any coastline in the heart of the German farmland so to come to Whitley bay and have a holiday, play football and improve their English is a chance they are really looking forward
to.

Funds are quite tight so if there are any local companies or charities that can help financially or with food and visits to Beamish, Segedunum and Newcastle please contact brian.wardle@blueyonder.co.uk
