WITH most sides involved in NFA Minor Cup ties there were only six league games played, two in Division One and four in Division Two.
The most outstanding performance of the day was New Hartley Community who put up a magnificent effort in defeat going down 6-3 to league leaders Bedlington Station.

Indeed the scoreline did not reflect final result with the youngsters giving a fig
hting display throughout their goals scored by Adrian Scott, Richard Dixon and Mike Shanks.

The Station replying through Simon Brown, Rob Eastway, Wayne Eastway (2) and Ronnie Foreman (2).

Dudley and District hit four goals without reply against pointless Cramlington Phoenix in a one sided affair with goals from Joe Cartwright, Shaun Barker (2) and Dean Struthers.

Longbenton Charnwood found their winning touch to account for Newsham Victory, running out 6-4 victors.

Alan Latimer leading in with a hat-trick followed by further strikes from Mike Clark (2) and Darren Atkinson.

The Newsham reply from Mark Langlands (2), Ross Temple and Lee Taylor.

Procter and Gamble's great run came to an abrupt end going down 5-2 to Seaton Burn New Drift Inn.

Dave Fantozzi grabbing a brace with Gary Lamb, Graham Fenwick and Rob Curry also on target.

In Division One Blyth Sports and Social are making a bold bid for the championship and they turned on the style to beat Dinnington Village 3-1 to keep their hopes alive.

In form striker James Bell on target with a double with one for Mike Adams. Andy Robson replying for the Village.

There was a welcome maximum points for Seghill Blake Arms who finally did the business hammering Jesmond Lonsdale 7-2.

Paul Avery doing most of the damage with a four goal blast with two for Dean Morgan, Steve Best completing the scoring.

In the NFA Minor Cup there was good wins for North Shields Billy Mill and Seghill SC.

The Mill beat Bedlington Grapes 5-1 with goals from Ritchie Craven (2), Andy Heddon, Mark Mintoe and Chris Doig.

Seghill SC proved too much for Guide Post winning 6-1.

Their goals coming from Ben Meant, Richard Latimer, George Bramley, Paul Bonnick, Steve Walker and Antonio Mango.

Cramlington Benedictine found the going tough against a very strong Newcastle Blue Star Social Club finally crashing out 8-3.
