A CRAMLINGTON Town side weakened by a few injuries showed their mettle down at Monkchester and got a very impressive 3-3 draw with hosts and defending Premier Division champions Walker Central.
Town were behind on three occasions but hit back each time to stun their powerful hosts.

On the half hour Walker's John Campbell opened the scoring with a curling drive from just inside the box but they were reeled back in.

Paul Joisce levelled five minutes before the interval when he slotted in a perfect cross from Keith Woodrow.

Central's advantage was restored after 51 minutes by David Thompson and in a flurry of activity in the penalty area he netted from close range during a goalmouth scramble.

But once again the hard-working visitors bit back to square things.

Midway through the second half a corner kick from Keith Woodrow was clinically headed home by Kieran Parsons.

When Joe Kennedy's pass set up Ian Dunn to put Walker in front for the third time with only three minutes to go it seemed all over for Town.

But just before the final whistle Cramlington were justly rewarded with a late leveller.

A telling ball from Woodrow resulted in a frantic scramble in the Walker goalmouth and Andrew Millar reacted quickly to poke the ball over the line.

Whitley Bay 'A' lost their hundred percent record in the First Division by suffering their first defeat away to newly promoted Killingworth YPC.

Killy beat their highly-rated visitors 1-0 despite having centre forward Paul Dunn sent off only ten minutes into the game.

Bay failed to make their numerical advantage count and were felled by Craig Harley's winner for their hosts.

While Whitley suffered a setback, Stocksfield went three points clear of them at the top as they secured their sixth league win on the trot.

Away to Gosforth Bohemian Garnett, the Tyne Valley outfit had to battle hard to secure a narrow 2-1 victory.

The Bohs, hammered 8-1 in midweek by Whitley Bay 'A', opened the scoring with Danny Sherwood seizing on a loose ball to give visiting keeper Shaun Sagar no chance.

But Stocksfield pulled themselves level on the stroke of half-time.
