Pool league seeks new teams

THE Wallsend and District Pool league is inviting applications from new teams to join its (current) three league structure for the 2008-09 season.
The outermost venues in the league consists of teams from Byker in the west, to Whitley Bay in the east. Killingworth in the north, to Howdon in the south.

The inaugural pre-season meeting will be held at the Barking Dog, Kings Road North, Wallsen
d, on Tuesday, August 19, commencing at 8pm.

This will be a preliminary meeting to commence accepting teams for the new season and also collect motions, nominations, etc for the AGM (no motions, nominations, etc will be accepted after the close of this preliminary meeting).

The AGM will be held on Tuesday, September 2, at the Barking Dog, at 8pm.

The Barking Dog is about one mile north of the Rising Sun pub on the Coast Road.

The AGM will be used to accept any new teams, vote on any proposals, and also to elect/ratify officials and committee.

At present, registrations for new teams will cost £30, and subs will be £30 per month (£15 per meeting).

Meetings are currently held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month.
