Rockcliff Rugby Club hand out awards

LAST Friday saw the Rockcliff annual awards event with the following results.
The Peter Watson Trophy for club man of the year went to Dave Hill for his efforts in organising the Super 10's trophy, which attracts clubs from across the UK and beyond.

The player of the year award went to Josh Donelly following an excellent de
but season.

The most improved player of the year award went to Liam Bowman.

Ian Firth was given a special trophy after deciding to take a well earned retirement following 23 years of running touch for the club.

The first Colt of the Year award for ten years was presented to Carl Campbell.

First team ties, awarded for playing more than ten first team games in a season, were presented to Andrew Webster, Josh Donnelly, Johnny Liddicoat, Steven Scott, Johnny Birkett, Phil Cullerton, and Liam
Bowman.

For the Vikings and Rangers, Pete Merhant was awarded the team stalwart trophy, whilst Alex Meadows was voted the most improved player.
Tony Birkett was Vikings player of the year, and Mick Scott the most consistent player.


Rockcliff Select 32 Keighley 52

A SCRATCH Rockcliff side took on the Yorkshire tourists and in an entertaining game notched six tries through Ian Whitworth (2), Josh Donnelly, Andy Partiss, Jimi Jimmy, and John Dixon.

Donelly also added a conversion.
