MEMBERS of the Black Adders Touch Rugby group from Rockcliff RFC took part in the Chevy Chase.
The Chevy Chase is a 20-mile walk taking in the two highest peaks in Northumberland – Hedgehope Hill and The Cheviot itself.

Whilst on Cheviot, the members checked out the playing surface, and described it as "very soft and wet!"

The reason for the check was that the group were looking to play a game of Touch Rugby on The Cheviot and by doing so they will be able to claim that they have played the highest game of 'Touch' in the north east.

Black Adders Touch Rugby hopes that this will be the beginning of finding unusual places to play the game as well as at the normal Thursday night sessions at Rockcliff RFC.

Their next 'expedition' is to Edinburgh to take part in a tournament where they will defend the cup they won last year.

Anyone interested in taking part in Touch Rugby are welcome to come along to Rockcliff RFC any Thursday night at 6.30pm.
