Whitley Bay Women FC celebrate successful season

WHITLEY BAY Women's football team held their end of season presentation night at the Seahorse Club in Whitley Bay on Friday, May 9.
The team had plenty to celebrate after their remarkable season saw them won the North East Regional Division One with a 100 per cent record, and then beat York City in the League Cup Final for a memorable double.
Helen Lackenby was voted by her team mates as Players' Player of the season and Siobhan Davies lifted the Player of the Season after a string of high class performances.
Team captain Kirsty Hunter was top goalscorer with 31 goals.
