WHITLEY BAY FC have been drawn to play Poole Town in the semi final of the FA Vase.
The first leg will be in Dorset on Saturday, March 26, with the return leg at Hillheads a week later, on Saturday, April 2.
The only previous time the teams have met was in the fourth round of last year’s competition when Whitley ran out 3-1 winners at Hillheads, courtesy of a Lee Kerr penalty, a Damon Robson and one from Paul Chow.
Poole have been drawn at home throughout this season’s competition, defeating Wellington 4-3; Wantage 3-2; St Ives 3-2; Spennymoor 3-2 and on Saturday Torpoint 2-1.
They are currently third in the Wessex League but with games in hand on both of the top two sides.
They have won 19, drawn four and lost two of their 25 games to date, scoring 83 goals and conceding 31.
In the other semi-final, Coalville will be at home in the first leg to King’s Lynn.
