THE THIRD consecutive FA Carlsberg Vase Final is just weeks away for Whitley Bay FC.
The club could make history if they succeed over Coalville Town on Sunday May 8, having already won the competition in 2002, 2009 and 2010.
Whitley Bay haven’t lost a game in the competition since their defeat against Lowestoft in the 2008 semi final first leg at Crown Meadow.
But their recent success in the FA Carlsberg Vase hasn’t always been an easy ride with injury, illness and dismissals testing the squad to the maximum.
