WHITLEY Bay FC Barca Under-9s travelled to Cramlington to face one of their main rivals for the league title.
Cramlington struck first midway through the first quarter with a hotly disputed penalty, awarded for a trip in the box.
Barca struggled to create chances against a well organised Cramlington team and at half-time the score remained 1-0.
The half-time team talk seemed to have the desired effect as Barca started to create chances and turned the game around with two goals in as many minutes, both converted by Jack Tatum from close range following good approach work from Bobby Johnson.
The fourth quarter saw Barca continue to press forward whilst Matthew Wills and Archie Coulson at the back dominated the Cramlington strike force.
Man of the match Johnson made the game safe with a clinical left foot finish before Liam Diamond added the icing on the cake with a fine solo effort.
With only three games remaining Barca moved three points clear at the top and must now be favourites for the title.
