NORTHERN League champions Spennymoor Town are the visitors to Hillheads on Saturday in a game that sees third play fourth.
Whitley lead the Moors by two points but have played five more games, so victory is essential to maintain any hopes of staying in the title race.
However, Spennymoor are equally in need of the points if they are to close the five-point gap on leaders West Auckland.
Recent games between the sides have been closely contested, with draws the most common outcome.
The last two meetings at Hillheads have ended 0-0, but both games were thoroughly entertaining.
Last season, a crowd of more than 600 saw the game at Hillheads and there was a similar number at the game at Spennymoor in October when a controversial encounter ended in a 2-0 win for the Moors with both sides having a man sent off.
The league’s ‘match of the day’ is likely to attract another big crowd to Hillheads.
