Cullercoats Under-15s retain top position

Cullercoats Under-15s remain top of the NEYDL despite falling behind to an early goal against Longhoughton Rangers.

Dan Morton equalised midway through the first half following an excellent back heel from Reece Aiken close before Ben Morris struck just before half-time to send the home side into the break 2-1 ahead.

Further second half goals from Morton and Morris saw Cullercoats run out 4-1 winners

Meanwhile in the Pinpoint Recruitment U15s League Cup, Cullercoats won 5-0 at Corbridge.

A second half masterclass in finishing from Alex Mutch helped Cullercoats United advance to the third round.

Dan Morton struck early in the first half to give the visitors the lead at half-time before Mutch smashed in four sublime finishes in a 15-minute spell early in the second half.

United will travel to Newcastle City Juniors in the next round.
