NORTH Shields FC’s assistant manager has left the club.
Graham Fenton, pictured, submitted his resignation last week, citing other work and family commitments for leaving.
It was believed Fenton, who joined the club as Anthony Woodhouse’s number two in 2009, was set to consider his future at the club in the summer.
But the Robins accepted his immediate resignation last Friday.
Woodhouse said: “Graham’s contribution to the club over the last 18 months since he took over as assistant cannot be under estimated.
“He has bags of experience and we’ll miss him.

“We respect his decision to leave and wish him well.
“We have a huge gap to fill but we know this club is on the up and we are capable of attracting a high calibre replacement.”
Fenton joined North Shields from Blyth Spartans 18 months ago and has played a significant role in the club rising from mid-table to a promotion place in the second division of the stl northern league.
