North Shields Ladies Football Club will have a new lead sponsor on their shirts next season.
The club has secured sponsorship on their home strips from the town’s Beacon Shopping Centre.
Officials at the centre are funding the costs of 30 shirts for the entire squad, which plays in the Northumberland County Womens’ League level six, as well as the County and FA Cup.
Club manager Gordon Kipling said: “The timing could not be better. We were actively looking for a sponsor when the Beacon Centre management got in touch.
“We will be able to start the season with the new kit, and we are confident that the Beacon Centre will share in our success.”
Beacon Centre Manager Chris Wilson said: “We always aim to put something back into our community, and think this is a great sponsorship opportunity.
“The majority of our shoppers are women, so it makes sense to put our money behind a ladies’ team. We wish the team every success for the next season.”
