Hazlerigg Victory completed a clean sweep of their away games in division two this season with a tough 2-1 win at New York.
Richard Coulson netted both goals for Mark Bullock’s men, who are now just a point away from securing the title. Paul Jordan netted in reply for New York.
Newcastle East End impressively won 4-0 at Ryton and Crawcrook Albion Reserves to keep alive their slim hopes of overhauling Hazlerigg. Jake Betts, Kristian Gilbert, Matt Gosling and Robert Stephenson scored their goals. They must now hope Hazlerigg lose their last two matches, one of which is against East End, and in turn they must win their other nine remaining games.
Gosforth Bohemian A cemented third place with a 3-1 win over Ponteland United Reserves, who have lost six in a row in all competitions. Will Hedley bagged a brace for Bohs, and Colin McLaughlin also scored, with Ryan Murphy notching for Pont.
The division one table has been shaken up by the unfortunate resignation of FoWS Diggers. Steve Couldwell’s side have played in the league since 2008, gaining promotion to division one in 2010/11 and winning the Tyneside Amateur Challenge Shield last season.
Walker Central Reserves returned to the top of the league with a tight 1-0 win over Chemfica Reserves who drop to second. Paul Collinson was the match winner for Gavin Cushin’s side.

West Jesmond won 3-0 at basement side Heaton Rifles, with goals from Ali Semmence, Gary Wilkinson and player-manager Stu Davidson.
