The headache for Northern Alliance fixture secretaries Len Renham and George Davison shows no signs of letting up as the wet weather again decimated the programme on Saturday.

A Josh Draycott double and a Rob Grainey strike gave Stocksfield three points against basement side Hebburn Reyrolle in the premier division.

Lee Turnbull hit the only goal in Gateshead Leam Rangers’ win at High Howdon in division two.

And AFC Newbiggin advanced to the semi-finals of the Northumberland FA Minor Cup as they thumped Hexham 6-0.

Ross Muter and Darren Burn both struck twice with Michael Angus and Jon McEnaney getting the others.
