For the second game running a North Shields Athletic player scored four goals in a game.
On Wednesday away to Swalwell, Scott Jasper scored all four goals in a 4-1 victory.
Then against Cramlington at the weekend, Matty Donkin helped himself to four in a 7-2 win.
The match against Cramlington started with some early pressure from the away team, but after six minutes a Lee Crammond goal settled Athletic down.
Then in a 16-minute period Athletic found themselves four up with goals from Matty Donkin (2) and Scott Jasper.
The second half saw the same pattern of pressure with Athletic missing a host of chances and Cramlington’s goalkeeper pulling off saves.
But the pressure paid off for Athletic with further goals for Crammond and a second half brace for Donkin.
The win puts Athletic eight points clear of Birtley with Athletic in the Northern Alliance division two with five games to go.
